Justin Ibarra

Hailing from Colorado Springs, Justin has been a guide and an outdoor educator for over 14 years. His work has taken him from Colorado to Alaska, and even to Kyrgyzstan with fellow Phantom Team Rider Ryan Koupal and 40 Tribes Backcountry. He works year round as a Lead Guide and Operations Manager for Colorado Adventure Guides and is also the founder of Colorado Snowboard Guides , which offers splitboard specific avalanche and touring education.
As a Colorado native, the spark of the outdoors was ignited at a young age which eventually led him to Colorado Mountain College, where he majored in Outdoor Recreation Leadership. He is medically certified as a Wilderness First Responder and has various other certifications and training including High Angle Rescue, AIARE Avalanche Level 3, and an AMGA Ski Guide Course Completion. Justin is an AIARE Avalanche Level 1 and 2 Course Leader and one of the first  guides to run and teach splitboard specific education. His passion, tactfulness, and overall stoke for being in the mountains is contagious and he loves to share these experiences with others.
In his free time you can find Justin exploring the next zone on his splitboard, boating off the grid, climbing mountains, or spending time with his family doing something of the like!
